Charlie & Friends
Charlie..........................how do you
explain Charlie? To start out with, Charlie is a CHICKEN, well not
just an ordinary chicken, he's a rubber chicken. It would take a long time
to explain how this started, but maybe one of the other crew with a talent
for writing might just fill us in. In the meantime, Charlie has sailed on
a number of different cruise lines, including Holland America, Celebrity
and Crystal, he has visited numerous countries far and wide, he always
carries his passport with him and tracks his adventures around the globe.
He has traveled in simple accommodations all the way to penthouse and
owners suites, he has met many ships' Captains, countless Maitre d's, and knows every ship bartender
who's worth knowing. Charlie travels a lot with his owners, Judi
& Michael, but nowadays rarely sees them because he is usually off
cruising with someone and really looks forward to sailing with his travel
agent, where he oftentimes winds up in a penthouse suite.

Charlie has been almost around the world,
he has been on more cruises than most of us
dream about. He has been from Hawaii to North Cape, through Europe and
the
Mediterranean to Greenland and the North Atlantic. Through the canal
enough times
to be able to recite Path Between the Seas, to Bermuda enough times to
apply for
British citizenship and in the fall of 2001 he will be heading on another
Holland America
cruise, this time around the horn of South America from Valparaiso to
Rio de Janeiro.
Two years ago on a Bermuda run
with George and Linda Hall, he aced out George during
the Funky Chicken contest at the Lido Pool Party, but when he got back
home he had to
spend 60 days in detox.
Then after his Bermuda cruise with the Halls last October
he disappeared for four days. Needless to say, George seems to have a less than positive
effect when Charlie hangs
around with him. |
